Despite all stereotypes two Muslim lesbian women tied the knot after nine years of dating in the Swedish capital Stockholm.
Sahar Mosleh and Maryam Iranfar are both from Iran – a country where homosexuals can pay for falling in love with their lives.The wedding ceremony took place in Stockholm during the city’s Pride week. What is even more interesting is that the women’s union was blessed by Iman Ludovid Mohamed Zahed, who is also a homosexual man from South Africa.

Maryam and Sahar, who suffers from congenital brittle bones, are now expecting the couple’s first child and could not imagine their lives without each other.

In Iran, the pair would have faced a penalty of 50 lashes for the first time they were caught together, a punishment that would have been repeated on a further two occasions. Had they been caught together a fourth time, the death penalty would be applied.
